Every size, side by side.
Questions about studs.
What size should I choose?
Choose a size and watch the ear: every size is drawn at its approximate diameter on an average ear. Most people land between half a carat and a carat each. If you are between two sizes, come in and try both on.
What is the difference between a martini and a basket setting?
From the front they look almost the same, four prongs holding a round stone. From the side, the martini is a cone that tapers to the post, so the stud sits flatter against the ear. The basket is a straight sided cage with a rail, which lets more light in from the side.
Why choose a bezel?
A bezel wraps the whole edge of the stone in metal. Nothing catches on hair or a sweater, and the stone is protected all the way round. It reads slightly larger, because the rim adds a little to the diameter.
Is the price for one earring or the pair?
The pair. The carat weight you choose is for each earring, so a pair of 1.00 ct studs is 2.00 carats total.
Are the two stones matched?
Yes. The two stones are chosen together for size, color and brightness, so neither one looks different on the ear.
